Privacy policy

What we collect when you contact us, why we collect it, and what we do not do with it.

Last updated: 13 July 2026

We collect what you type into the contact form, plus your IP address for spam protection, and we use Google Analytics to count visits so we can see which pages are useful. We use your enquiry to reply to you. We do not sell your information, we do not share it for marketing, and we do not run advertising trackers or profile you across other websites.

Who we are

This website is operated by Rose Brothers Ventures Group (ABN 28 770 805 450), trading as Rose Ventures, of Sydney, NSW, Australia. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

When you submit the contact form we collect:

  • Your name and email address (required, so we can reply)
  • Your phone number and business name (optional)
  • The venture you selected and the message you wrote
  • Your IP address and browser user-agent, recorded with the submission

The IP address and user-agent exist for one reason: to rate-limit and block automated spam. They are not used to profile you, and they are not shared.

What we do with it

We use your details to answer your enquiry and to continue that conversation if it becomes a business relationship. Your submission is emailed to info@roseventures.com.au, and a confirmation copy is emailed to you.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not disclose it for anyone else's marketing. We will not add you to a mailing list because you asked us a question.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how this website is used — how many people visit, which pages they read, and whether they go on to contact us. We do this because we are a young business trying to work out which of our ventures people actually want, and we would rather find out from the numbers than by guessing.

Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) that count you as a returning visitor rather than a new one. Through it we collect:

  • The pages you view on this site, and when
  • Roughly where you are (city or region level — not your street, and not your full IP address, which Google truncates)
  • Your device, browser and how you arrived here (a search engine, a link, or directly)
  • Whether you submitted the contact form, and which venture you picked

We have deliberately switched off the advertising side of it. Google Signals, ads personalisation and data sharing with Google are all disabled on our account, and the site instructs Google not to use any of this for advertising. That means this data is used to count and improve, not to follow you around the internet or to build an advertising profile of you. We do not run an advertising network, and we do not run any other tracker. Analytics data is deleted after 14 months.

If you would rather not be counted at all, you can block cookies for this site in your browser, use your browser's private mode, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. Nothing on this site stops working if you do — we do not gate any content on analytics.

Third parties who may see your data

  • Google Analytics — used to count visits and see which pages are useful, as described above. It does not receive the contents of your message.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — used to check that the contact form is being submitted by a person rather than a bot.
  • Our email provider — used to deliver your message to us and the confirmation to you.

We do not use any other third-party service. Nothing you type into the contact form — your name, email, phone, business or message — is ever sent to Google. The only thing analytics records about a submission is that one happened, and which venture was selected.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are kept for as long as we may reasonably need them for the business relationship, and are deleted when they are no longer needed. Spam-protection logs containing IP addresses are short-lived and are not retained long-term.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. Enquiries reach us by email. Email is not a perfectly secure medium, so please do not send us sensitive information — payment details, government identifiers, health information — through the contact form. If you need to share something sensitive, call us and we will find a better way.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@roseventures.com.au or call 0414 278 639 and one of the family will handle it.

If you think we have mishandled your information and you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and change the date at the top. We will not quietly start doing something with your data that this page says we do not do.
