Walk into any newsagency and there's a card for Mum, Dad, Nan, the teacher, the boss and the neighbour who fed the plants. There's nothing for the dog who has been in every family photo for ten years. Rose Pets makes the cards for that gap — in both directions: for the customer buying for their own animal, and the one buying for someone else's.
Australians talk to their pets, buy them birthday presents, and put them in the Christmas card. The card aisle hasn't caught up. It still assumes the only relationships worth marking are the human ones.
So we make two kinds of card, and they do genuinely different jobs. Cards for people about their pets — a Happy Barkday for a dog mum, a congratulations on the new puppy. And cards from the pet — the birthday card your dog would have signed, if the paws cooperated.
The second kind is the one people stop and pick up, because they've never seen it before.

Can you actually get a birthday card from your dog?
Yes — that's the point. We make cards written from the pet to their person, like a Happy Birthday Mom card from the family dog. Most card shops don't stock the category at all: there's a card for Mum, Dad, Nan, the teacher and the boss, and nothing from the animal who's been in every family photo for a decade.
Do you sell pet greeting cards wholesale?
Yes. We supply pet and pet-themed cards to Australian retailers — newsagencies, pet stores, gift retailers and online shops — through rosepets.com.au. There's no separate wholesale process to go through: the per-card price is on every product page and drops automatically as the quantity goes up, down to the bulk rate.

Every card's per-card price is published on its product page, and volume pricing is applied automatically at checkout — the price per card falls as the quantity rises, down to the bulk rate. Nothing is held back behind a quote, and prices include GST.

Yes, via Australia Post, and prices in the shop include GST. Cards aren't limited by geography the way our vending machines are — those are Greater Sydney only.

The shop filters by pet and by occasion. The range starts with dogs and cats — across birthdays, new-pet congratulations, thank-yous and everyday cards — and it's still growing. If there's a pet or an occasion you want and can't find, tell us; that's genuinely useful to know.
Are you making more than cards?
Rose Pets is a shop for people with pets, and cards are what's on the shelves first. More pet and pet-themed products are in design — other card categories, swag like mugs and tees, and products for pets themselves down the track. Cards came first because it's the category obviously missing from every card shelf in the country.
